Welcome to Building Blocks Hilltown!

Our Hilltown facility opened in 2004 and has bright indoor spaces and a safe outdoor playground. We have ample parking and a super-convenient drop-off driveway. BBLC Hilltown proudly offers music classes and field trip experiences to enhance and support our PA state-approved curriculum.

We foster the very important home-school connection by hosting evening events for each age level and family-friendly programs throughout the school year. Monthly newsletters keep our families informed of our creative school happenings.

Preschool Classes

Step 1

Three or Five Day Pre-K

Step 1

Tuesday, Thursday 9:00-11:45
For three-year-olds, and those turning three by January 31st of that school year
Small group with a teacher and an aide
Encourages emerging independence
Concentrates on social development
Designed to be a child's first traditional school experience
Introduction to academic themes and school habits
Children do not need to be potty trained for this session

Step 2

Three or Five Day Pre-K

Step 1

Monday, Wednesday, Friday 9:00-11:45
For three- and three-and-a-half-year-olds
Offers slightly more structured academic program
Letters and numbers are introduced and practiced
Small motor skills progressively developed through daily activities in art, music, and play
Independence in social and readiness skills practiced
Children need to be fully potty trained for this and all future sessions -- no diapers or pull ups permitted

Three or Five Day Pre-K

Three/five afternoons a week 12:30-3:15
For four-year-olds eligible for kindergarten the following school year
Skills in literacy, mathematical concepts and small motor activities practiced each day
Pre-reading and pre-writing exposure
Daily opportunities in art, music, and play
Whole and small group instruction
Offers a full kindergarten preparation program

Extras and Add-Ons

Lunch Bunch

Pre-K Enrichment (suspended for the 2022-23 school year, replaced by a Five Day Pre-K option)

45-minute extension for a nominal fee
Extends your child's time at school and allows for further community building and social development
Lunches are supplied from home

Tuesday and Thursday afternoons
Six-week program in the fall and second six-week program in the winter
Special extension offers opportunities to explore Social Studies through a “trip around the world,” and Science through experiments and a study on outer space
